Terms of Use

These terms govern access to and use of Tarrant County Criminal History. Reading the content, opening a page, or using a search feature signals acceptance of every condition below. Anyone who does not agree should stop using the website.

NO FCRA USE. This privately operated website has no affiliation with a local, state, or federal government body. This site and its advertising partners do not offer services for credit, employment, insurance, tenant, or other decisions regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). The resource helps readers locate official criminal-record channels in Tarrant County, Texas. It is neither a private investigation firm nor a consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site with no government connection. It does not store official criminal records, perform official checks, retrieve a file, or submit documents on a visitor's behalf.

Its role is to identify Tarrant County custodians, including the Sheriff's Records Division, county and district clerks, the Texas Department of Public Safety, and the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry. Official access remains subject to the Texas Public Information Act and the criminal-history dissemination rules in Government Code Chapter 411. Some pages also connect readers to outside research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

Use of the site is conditioned on the following limits. A visitor must not:

  • Violate federal, Texas, or local law through use of the website
  • Stalk, threaten, or harass another person with information found here
  • Use site content for hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions
  • Seek unauthorized access to any part of the systems
  • Use bots, scrapers, or similar automated collection tools on these pages
  • Disrupt performance or prevent another visitor from using the site

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

No one may use information from this website or a linked tool to intimidate, stalk, threaten, harass, or unlawfully discriminate. Misuse may also be criminal. Texas Public Sex Offender Registry information carries specific warnings against injuring, harassing, or committing a crime against a listed person. Registry access supports public safety awareness. It does not authorize vigilantism or unlawful discrimination.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and creates no background check, credit report, or consumer report. Its advertising partners do not provide a service through this site for regulated screening decisions. Information from this site or a linked tool must not be used to:

  • Decide whether to hire or fire someone
  • Screen potential renters or housing applicants
  • Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
  • Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
  • Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules

A lawful regulated purpose requires an authorized official channel or an FCRA-compliant consumer reporting provider, as applicable. This website is not that channel.

5. No Legal Advice

Website content is general information, not legal advice. It cannot determine how a Tarrant County charge, conviction, warrant, expunction, or order of nondisclosure applies to a specific person. Consult a licensed Texas attorney for legal guidance.

6. No Warranties

All content and functions are supplied "as is." No warranty is made that:

  • The information here is accurate, complete, or current at any given time
  • The site will stay up and running without interruptions
  • Our pages are free of errors, bugs, or security holes
  • Results from our partner search tools will be thorough or accurate

Criminal records can change as charges are filed, dismissed, restricted, or expunged. Updates and gaps are unavoidable. Nothing published here is an official statement from a court, sheriff, clerk, or other government office.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links lead to sheriff pages, court portals, Texas agencies, legal-aid organizations, and outside search services. Those destinations are beyond our control. We are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, prices, or availability. Review each destination's terms before using it.

8. Intellectual Property

Text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Tarrant County Criminal History or its content partners. They may not be copied, changed, distributed, or used to create derivative material without prior written permission.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the broadest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for damage arising from site use, including reliance on information from these pages or a linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold us harmless from claims, demands, or legal actions caused by your site use or violation of these terms, including related legal fees and costs.

11. Governing Law

Texas law governs these terms. Any dispute tied to use of the website must be brought in a court located in Texas.

12. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be updated at any time. A revised version takes effect when it is posted on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be limited or ended at any time, for any reason, without advance notice.

14. Severability

If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, all remaining provisions continue in effect. The affected language will be adjusted only as far as needed for enforcement.
